Second Cycle Academic Studies
STUDY PROGRAM: CLASS TEACHING
The Curriculum of the second cycle of the study program Class Teaching at the Faculty of Education in Bijeljina is based on the Bologna Declaration and the implementation of ECTS points.
Graduate academic master studies for acquiring the qualification of Master of Teacher Education - 300 ECTS are in line with the most up-to-date strategies and concepts of learning in junior grades of primary school. These studies are based on the most up-to-date approaches to university teaching, including appropriate professional and methodical aspects of research, linking knowledge with practice and providing teaching support for students in independent work based on multidisciplinary learning of problematic, research and discovering orientations.
Graduate academic studies of the second cycle - Master Studies Class Teaching last one year (two semesters) and are evaluated with 60 ECTS points.
The aim of academic studies of the second cycle of Class Teaching is to continue the education of Bachelors in Teacher Education, after the first cycle studies, strengthening existing and acquiring new appropriate competences in order to develop and improve methodological sciences in the field of class teaching and to develop scientific research work in this field, as assumptions of improvement of teaching activities in basic primary school cycle. The quality education offered by this program is the basis for lifelong learning in education, and this is one of the essential elements of the progress of every society. Supporing to this program is in the function of raising the quality of education and improvement of education in the Republic of Srpska - BiH.
STUDY PROGRAM: PRESCHOOL EDUCATION AND CARE
The Curriculum of the second cycle of Preschool Education and Care at the Faculty of Education in Bijeljina is based on the Bologna Declaration and the implementation of ECTS points.
Graduate academic studies - Master studies for acquiring the qualification of Master of Teaching (Preschool Education and Care) - 300 ECTS are in line with the most up-to-date strategies and concepts of early learning and the establishment of continuity of learning and development of preschool children. These studies are based on the latest approaches to university teaching, including appropriate professional and methodical aspects of research, connection of knowledge with the practice of preschooling and providing support to students in independent work based on multidisciplinary learning of problematic, research and discovering orientation. Graduate academic studies of the second cycle - Master Studies in Preschool Education and Care last two years (four semesters) and are evaluated with 120 ECTS points.
The aim of academic studies of the second cycle of Preschool education and Care is to continue the education of Bachelors of Teaching (Preschool Education and Care) after the first cycle studies, strengthening existing and acquiring new appropriate competencies, by deepening and improving theoretical and practical knowledge and skills for quality work in preschool education and care in the institutions for preschool education and in the institutions dealing with social care of preschool children.
STUDY PROGRAM: COMPUTER SCIENCE IN EDUCATION
Graduate academic studies COMPUTER SCIENCE IN EDUCATION - MASTER are primarily focused on the education of primaty and secondary school teachers and they are based on the study of information and pedagogical disciplines formative for this professional activity, Secondarily, they are aimed at educating staff to work in various business systems as part of providing information and pedagogical support for staff development, etc.
This study program at the level of the second cycle of the two-year (four-semester) master's study, is organized in the continuity of vertical connection after the first (three-year cycle) Technical Education and Computer Science in the spirit of the Bologna process. The value of the second cycle of studies is 120 points. It is upgraded to the first cycle (180 ECTS points) of the study of Technical Education and Computer Science. The qualification that is acquired upon completion of the study program is the Master of Computer Science in Education - 300 ECTS.
